NASA reports bad smell on space station, no smoke

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - NASA reported a bad smell on the International Space Station on Monday but said there was no smoke on the outpost.

some protective gear," Kelly Humphries, a NASA spokesman in Houston, told CNN.

"There was no smoke. There were initial reports it was smoke but it turns out it was vapor," he said.

He said there was an odor that was not normal and that's when the smoke alarm went off.
