KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) - Haiti outplayed St. Vincent and the Grenadines to win 4-0 in the CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying tournament, which also serve as qualifiers for the Caribbean Cup finals.

The opening goal of the Wednesday night match came in the 18th minute when a left-sided cross from the edge of the box found the right foot of Josue Mayland, who fired the ball inside St. Vincent's net.
St. Vincent came close to tying up the match in the 50th minute, but Shandel Samuel's left-sided cross glided straight across the face of Haiti's goal.

In the 54th minute, Haiti's Jean Baptiste Fritzson scored the team's second goal from inside the 18-yard-box. Jean Jacques Pierre booted a goal in the 79th and Marc Herold Gracien beat the advancing keeper in the 90th minute to complete the match.

After the game in Jamaica's National Stadium, Haiti's coach Carlos Marcellin said he was happy to start the team's qualifying bid on a winning note.

"We came here to win and we did just that," Marcellin said.
