Canadian governor Michaelle Jean starts Africa tour in Algeria
ALGIERS (AFP) - Canada's Governor General Michaelle Jean arrived in Algeria for a four day visit, her first trip to Africa.
Jean was expected to meet Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, whom she interviewed in 2002 in her previous incarnation as a star reporter for Canadian television. She will also preside over a forum of Algerian and Canadian business executives.
